On August 9, 2025, The Oladele Foundation and the African Cancer Support Group hosted a Summer Potluck Picnic at Nighthawk Park in Calgary, bringing together families, friends, and supporters for a day of food, music, and community spirit. It was more than just a picnic—it was a celebration of culture, connection, and the joy of being together.
A Day Filled with Laughter, Food, and Togetherness
From the moment the grills started sizzling, the park came alive. The air was filled with the aroma of barbecue chicken and jollof rice, while children’s laughter and music set the tone for a vibrant afternoon. Families shared their favorite dishes, played games, and danced, turning the park into a place of joy and belonging.
Many attendees left with more than just full plates—they carried home lasting memories and a renewed sense of togetherness. This is the heart of what The Oladele Foundation and the African Cancer Support Group aim to create: spaces where community thrives, culture is celebrated, and support is shared.
